The VETMO4TL project is a 30-months project which is co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme. The project started in November 2017 and brings together 11 complementary partner organisations such as transport and logistics research centres, professional organisations, competent authorities and VET centres, from 10 European countries (Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain (Catalonia) and the Netherlands).

Project objectives

It aims to enable recognised learner mobility in vocational education and training (VET) at level 4 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) in the transport and logistics sector:

  • Elaboration of documents that allow mutual understanding of the existing qualifications and trainings in the ten project partner countries
  • Concrete propositions for mobility projects and possibilities of recognised mobility between two partner countries
  • Pilot mobility workshops for teachers and trainers to train them on the use of our results

Project origins and relevance

To guarantee the use of our results and consequently the implementation of mobility at EQF level 4 in Transport and Logistics, the VETMO4TL results will be integrated into the existing NETINVET network (www.netinvet.eu).

Indeed, the origins of our project lie in NETINVET which is a mobility network of over 80 training centres and professional organisations from eleven European countries. Mutual trust has been established to make learners mobile in the sectors of International Trade and Transport & Logistics. So far mainly EQF level 5 mobility has been developed.

The VETMO4TL project is the response to the strong need expressed by some of the members to enlarge the mobility offers and to enable mobility at EQF level 4. Also, new training centres have indicated a desire to become members once there is the possibility to organise mobility for learners at EQF level 4.
