The first step is the development of shared references that are accepted by all the partners of the project, namely common job profiles, occupational standards and competence standards. These documents build the basis of common understanding, indispensable for mutual trust and the realisation of the project’s objectives.
Partners have drafted national reports on the existing job profiles corresponding to the EQF level 4 qualifications in Transport and Logistics in their countries. Click here for download.
Three common job profiles have been drafted by the consortium: Transport Technician, Warehouse Technician and Road Freight Advanced Driver. These documents give more details about the jobs concerned and guarantee the close link of the VETMO4TL project’s results to the reality of the labour market needs. Click here for download.
The Occupational standards detail the occupation previously described in the common job profiles: they list the concrete activities and tasks the holders of the qualifications will have to undertake and give more information about the work environment and the expected outcomes. One of the main objectives of VETMO4TL is to support the realisation of recognised mobility at EQF level 4. To achieve this aim, the existing qualifications in the partner countries must be written in the same format to be comparable to each other. Therefore, the project partners have first produced a transcripted version of their national competence standards using the ECVET methodology (European Credit system for Vocational Education & Training). This means that the competence standards are approached by using the Learning Outcomes each learner should achieve during the training process. Consequently, the competence standards we have designed are organised in units of Learning Outcomes. Every Learning Outcome refers to Knowledge, Skills and Competences, explaining in detail what the learner has to know, needs to be able to apply in a practical way and how to behave in specific professional situations. The shared references ensure the understanding of the existing qualifications in the partner countries but do not provide concrete propositions for mobility projects. Consequently, we will go further and compare the corresponding training programmes in binational work to clearly determine the possibilities of recognised mobility between two partner countries. These mobility patterns will thus propose an appropriate period of mobility, its duration and type (work placement and/or study mobility) as well as learning outcomes that can be acquired abroad.

Finally, the project team will organise four pilot mobility workshops for teachers and trainers to train them on the use of our results. Specific guidelines will be set up beforehand to support the trainings and explain our tools and documents in a simple and practical way. Furthermore, these meetings aim to support the creation of new partnerships for future mobility projects.
